About Us

In 2006, Cransley Sailing Club celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the inception of the Club with a re-union attended by 130
including 18 of the past Commodores.

Cransley sailing club is located in an idyllic valley just a few minutes from Kettering in Northamptonshire. The 40 acre reservoir is in a peaceful location with an abundance of wild life.

We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly club and have a large number of family members. We also have an increasing number of youth members who have been introduced to sailing through our training group. The club has a number of training dinghies ( Toppers, Picos, GP14 and Enterprise) that, though primarily used for training purposes, are available for club members to use.

Anyone interested in sailing is welcome to come along to our annual Open Day to get a free try at sailing, or to enrol on one of our training courses.

The club also has an active social calendar with regular events for sailors and non-sailors to get together.

Races are held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and Tuesday evenings. The club also takes part in several inter-club racing events throughout the year.
