Welcome to Cransley Sailing Club

                                                         new members welcome

What do I need to bring with me?

You will get wet and dependant on the weather conditions you may also get cold so please bring plenty of spare old clothes with you that you can change into plus old trainers or wet shoes. You do not need to go to the expense of purchasing sailing clothes to take part in this course.

Once you have decided that sailing is for you can think about purchasing your own sailing clothing, dinghy boots and bouyancy aid

Suggested sailing clothing:

a wetsuit or lightweight jogging bottoms, shorts, t-shirt, fleece

sailing or gardening gloves

hat or cap

we suggest you wear a swimming costume/trunks under your sailing clothing

spray top, cagoule or light waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers

extra layers of warm clothing, dependent on weather conditions

footwear – your feet will get wet, so sailing boots, wet shoes or old trainers

waterproof sunscreen (for children, please label clearly with their name)

sunglasses, useful

medication, where relevant (for children please label clearly with their name)

(tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cans of drink can be purchased from the Galley)

We do have a limited number of wetsuits and cagoules for children and smaller youths that can be loaned for these training sessions.  We also have a limited supply of dinghy boots (please wear socks if using these)

We can provide bouyancy aids if you do not have your own

Please ensure that these are put back in the container and not left in the changing rooms after use.  Thank you
